A Political Action Committee, more commonly referred to as PAC, is a committee formed by business, labor or other special interest groups to raise money and make contributions to the campaigns of political candidates whom they support.

Through the IIANC PAC of IIANC (formerly NC Small Business PAC) and InsurPAC of IIABA, members contribute to and support candidates who are committed to a free and competitive market in which the role of the independent insurance agency remains central to the insurance system. By pooling the individual financial contributions of thousands of independent agents, InsurPAC helps elect candidates and re-elect members of the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate who share IIABA's business philosophy. IIANC PAC does the same thing locally in North Carolina.

IIABA's government affairs department, in conjunction with the appropriate state association, selects the federal campaigns that receive InsurPAC financial support. InsurPAC and IIABA are separate but affiliated organizations. IIANC's legislative committee selects the local campaigns that receive funding from IIANC PAC.

IIANC members realize the importance of giving to PAC and have shown a commitment to making personal contributions. IIANC's successful PAC fundraising efforts have gained national recognition as the association has been one of the leaders in PAC donations for many years. IIANC has received the "InsurPAC National Championship Award" several times. Our Young Agents are also consistently recognized for their efforts as they lead all other Young Agents in InsurPAC contributions year after year. In fact, they raise more money than some state associations do as a whole!

Donate to IIANC PAC!

It only takes a small commitment each month! Give to IIANC PAC what you would usually spend on ONE coffee drink! If we can get every member to contribute that amount, we will have a huge, record-breaking year.
