Walk for Wishes
In 2015, we were pleased to raise $19,725 through the Walk for Wishes fundraisers to benefit both Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina and Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina. Under the leadership of the Young Agents Committee and thanks to our generous members, our association raised $2,645 for the Wrightsville Beach walk, $1,190 for the Charlotte walk, $560 for the Asheville walk, and $330 for the Tanglewood Park walk. This amount was in addition to the state-wide sponsorship of $15,000 that IIANC/Trusted Choice gave to all four Walk for Wishes events in North Carolina.
Thank you to everyone who helped support the Young Agents and who generously donated money to our Walk for Wishes teams!
Donate Airline Miles
A majority of the wishes granted includes flying. Delta, United, JetBlue and American Airlines will donate your unused or about-to-expire airline miles to Make-A-Wish and these miles do not expire. This is a very easy and important way to give back. Click on the following links below to donate your airline miles today. These consist of things that help make wishes come true. Things like luggage, Disney plush toys, iTunes gift cards, Target gift cards, etc. Click here
to access a “wish list” of other ideas. An idea: your office could designate a Day of Giving
by selecting one item on the list and having everyone donate that item or collect money to purchase the item.
Any monetary contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated! If you would like to donate, please click on the link below and make your contribution. In the company name, please reference Young Agents of NC.

Be A Wish Granter
This is one of the most rewarding ways to help. The staff of Make-A-Wish cannot grant wishes without the help of volunteers. Each wish requires two Wish Granters that work with the family through creativity and imagination to make the children's wishes come true. Wish Granters visit the family and interview the wish child with the intent to determine the child’s wish and obtain required paperwork from the parents/legal guardians. This position requires excellent people skills, sensitivity and dependability. Wish Granters have the privilege of seeing first-hand a child’s most cherished dream become a reality. The staff of Make-A-Wish are located in Durham, Charlotte, and Greensboro.
