This public service campaign seeks to encourage the parents of young children to talk to their kids about the importance of fire safety. The cornerstone of the project is an Exit Drill In The Home, thus the name EDITH. The idea is to educate preschool age children and their families about the value of practicing an Exit Drill In The Home and then having a designated meeting spot outside the home. During Fire Prevention Week, IIANC designates one night for families to practice their Exit Drill and "Get Low and Go"! Since its birth in 1996, this campaign has really taken off. More volunteers sign up each year to dedicate their time and efforts to spreading EDITH's important message.
