Job Opportunities

Two job posting services, exclusive to the insurance industry, are available to independent agents in North Carolina. The Career Clipboard is a free job and resume posting service available exclusively to IIANC member agencies for openings in North Carolina. The Big I Career Center promotes career opportunities and resumes for jobs with independent insurance agents and companies around the U.S. IIANC also offers other staffing solutions through special partnerships with WAHVE for remote staffing and System Search, Inc. for recruitment and placement services.

Internships

A great way to bring more young people into the independent insurance industry is to provide internship opportunities in your agency.  Not only does it give your agency some additional help for a few months, but it promotes the awesome career advantages that working as an independent agent offers. It’s also a great opportunity to get these top-notch students “in the door” before someone else does and take a risk-free look at a potential future employee.

IIANC provides grants to help fund paid internships and also attends the RMI Career Fairs at Appalachian State University, East Carolina University and UNC-Charlotte each year to promote job and internship opportunities with our member agencies. The Agent's Guide for Internships is also available to walk you step by step through a 10 week summer internship that is beneficial to both the student and your agency.
