iLEAD Young Agent CE Scholarship
To support the professional growth of North Carolina’s Young Agents, iLEAD offers a CE Scholarship to help offset the cost of approved insurance education courses. Recipients may receive up to $500, or have the course paid in full - whichever is less. Priority is given to first-time applicants.
As new classes and programs open for registration, eligible Young Agents are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and may be submitted by email to Anna Rebollar, iLEAD Staff Liaison, at arebollar@iianc.com.
Giving Back
One major tenet of the iLEAD Program is encouraging our young professionals give back to their local communities. The Young Agents of North Carolina have a long-standing tradition of supporting charities that have a statewide impact. Over the years, organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, Victory Junction and the Special Olympics of NC have received significant volunteer and financial support from IIANC's young professionals. We’ve also held book drives for local schools, collected donations for those in need following hurricanes and other natural disasters and put together donation bags for the homeless.
In recent years, we have been proud to partner with Make-A-Wish of Eastern NC and Make-A-Wish of Central and Western NC to help grant the wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. Our premier fundraising initiative is the Annual IIANC Charity Golf Tournament, with all proceeds going directly to the two NC Make-A-Wish chapters. Thanks to tremendous support from not only IIANC members and company partners but from the larger community, we have been able to raise over $240,000 through the golf tournament.
Revell With A Cause
This year, the iLEAD Committee proudly supports Revell With A Cause, a nonprofit organization dedicated to disaster relief in North Carolina. From delivering supplies to Western NC families to organizing local toy drives, Revell With A Cause exemplifies the power of community-driven efforts to rebuild and strengthen our state.
Recent Highlights:
- $1.8M raised for Hurricane Helene relief in NC.
- Nearly $25,000 in donations and one semi-truck with over 15,000 pounds of toys delivered to the children of Western North Carolina affected by the hurricane.
- 300+ holiday gifts provided to seniors in Western NC communities.
- Support for California wildfires: Immediate aid provided to families impacted, including essential supplies and financial assistance.
Join iLEAD and Revell With A Cause in making a difference! Thank you for your generosity!
Support iPAC: Strengthening Advocacy for Independent Agents
We’ve set a committee goal of 100% Young Agent involvement with iPAC, North Carolina’s Political Action Committee. iPAC plays a vital role in IIANC’s advocacy efforts by supporting state legislative candidates who champion key issues critical to the independent insurance agency business model.
Jennifer Nielsen, a Young Agent at Triangle Risk Advisors, shared:
"As a young agent, I support iPAC because it ensures that my voice and our industry is heard on critical issues. By working with our legislators, we can shape policies that protect our clients, strengthen our profession, and secure the longevity of our industry. Supporting PAC is an investment in our future, allowing us to focus on serving our community and allowing our industry to thrive."
Your personal contributions ensure IIANC has the resources to build strong relationships with elected officials who understand and support the challenges independent agents face. Every dollar makes a difference in safeguarding our profession for the future. Want to make an impact?
