Erin Chitwood

Erin Chitwood is a Wilmington native and an experienced insurance professional with more than 15 years in the industry. She started her insurance career in 2011 as a personal lines customer service agent and now serves as the Service Department Manager at James E. Moore Insurance Agency.

Throughout her career, Erin has demonstrated a commitment to continuing education and industry excellence. She earned her CISR designation in 2015 and her CIC designation in 2018. While her primary focus has always been personal lines insurance, she expanded her knowledge in commercial insurance, earning The Hartford's CLCS and Builders Mutual's CBIA designations in 2021.

Erin’s expertise and leadership have been recognized by several insurance carriers. She has been selected to serve on advisory councils for both Frontline Insurance and The Hartford, and in 2025 she joined the Women IA-Executives Network (WIN).

Erin is passionate about developing and supporting the next generation of insurance professionals. She actively mentors team members as they build confidence, pursue designations, and navigate their own career paths in the industry.
