About the Event

The Young Agents Development Conference, presented by iLEAD, is taking on downtown Wilmington this year! Do you want to learn what it takes to stand out from the pack while gaining the attention of the decision makers in your agency? If you're interested in positioning yourself as a future agency leader, then you can't afford to miss out on #YADC22!
This unique conference is crafted and designed especially for Young Agents (under 41) or those with less than five years of industry experience. We've intentionally built an agenda packed with information and tools that will help you rise above your competition to become a better agent to your clients and a better producer for your agency.
Learn from some of the industry's top thought leaders and innovators while networking with fellow Young Agents and representatives from companies and vendors. We can't wait to see you in Wilmington for this year's #YADC22!

Plus, all IIANC member Young Agents (41 and under) and those with five years or less of industry experience can attend for FREE!*

*All IIANC member agents can attend the Young Agents Development Conference for FREE! You will be charged a nominal fee of $25 upon registering. After attending the event, you will receive a $25 Amazon gift card to offset the cost of registration. This is being done in an effort to reduce the number of "no shows" at the event - if you register and do not show up or do not cancel at least 10 business days before the event, you will forfeit the $25 fee that was initially paid. Option #1: Referral Partner Strategies That Work
Speaker: Bradley Flowers

Most agents approach referral partners the wrong way, in this session you will learn the right way!

In this breakout session, Bradley Flowers from Portal Insurance walks us through the exact referral partner strategy that he used to build his agency from "less than scratch" and is still using today to onboard new producers.

Option #2: Creating a Profitable Personal Brand Online
Speaker: Dani Kimble

When deciding on insurance, most people want to do business with an advisor they know, like, and trust. Before the digital age, relationships were built by knocking on doors and shaking hands with people in their community. Today, these relationships can be built more profitably, efficiently, and at scale online.

In this session, you will build a personal brand strategy. It’s a simple plan that, when executed consistently, is proven to build relationships with your ideal clients and drive demand for your agency.

Breakout Sessions (choose one)

Option #1: Your Path to Ownership and Success
Speaker: Aaron Gordon

I will take you through the process of going from CSR to Producer to Agency Leader. Wherever you are in your career lifecycle, you can position yourself for long term wealth generation.

Option #2: Set Goals All the Time
Speaker: Jeremy Wall

Do you come to work, every day, knowing what your individual goals are? More so, do you know what the agency's goals are for this year?

In this session you will learn where to start and how to continually improve your own goal-setting process as you grow in your career. Successful managers and leaders use goals to align the entire team around a shared vision of the future, and as a tool to empower those around you to focus on the daily actions and decisions that move the entire agency toward defining and achieving its goals.

Our three major takeaways for this session are:
• Understanding your long-term goal, aka your vision, to move everyone toward a shared future.
• Establishing the frameworks that must be in place to create ‘good goals’ for yourself and the agency.
• Determining three type of agency-wide goal and how to measure and manage your progress to achievement.

3:30pm - 5:00pm
Networking on "Cloud 9" including IIANC Sparks!

We think it's time for a change of scenery. Join us at Cloud 9, the rooftop lounge at the Embassy Suites, to close out the day's programming. You'll have the opportunity to continue building peer connections while learning more from companies and vendors about how they can help add value to your agency.

Back by popular demand, IIANC Sparks! is designed to help "spark" the next big idea for your agency! In this fast-paced and intense session, companies and vendors will have 90 seconds to tell you exactly why your agency can't go another day without utilizing their product or service. See if they can beat the buzzer or if they'll get the hook. It's guaranteed to provide you with new ideas (and a few good laughs!).

6:30pm - 8:30pm
Off-Site Networking Reception
Location: Pour Taproom (201 N Front St, Wilmington, NC)

Let's keep the networking going at Pour Taproom, just a short walk away from the Embassy Suites! We've reserved the second level which features tons of games and the perfect area to hang out and continue making connections with fellow attendees. We'll have awesome food, over 60 taps of craft beers and ciders, and good times!

General Session: Building a Marketing Plan for Your Agency
Speaker: Dani Kimble

Most insurance agencies don’t have a marketing plan for their business. It’s not because they don’t value marketing, it’s because they don’t know where to start. The digital age continues to evolve, creating greater opportunities to expand your brand and presence online.

With a simple marketing plan, your agency can enhance client retention, drive more referrals, increase brand affinity and word-of-mouth, recruit top talent, and create new business opportunities. Gone are the days when marketing only focused on driving top-line revenue. Today, marketing is an integral component of the overall business strategy and, when executed effectively, has the power to impact every aspect of your organization.

We will also be giving away some big prizes and awesome swag during this session, but you have to be present to get the goods. ;)
