Nathan Riedel

Senior Vice President, Federal Government Affairs, IIABA

Nathan M. Riedel is Senior Vice President of Federal Government Affairs for the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or Big “I”). Representing over 19,000 agencies and roughly one quarter of a million agents, IIABA is the nation’s largest insurance association and one of the most influential small-business groups in Washington, D.C.

As IIABA Senior Vice President, Riedel oversees the association’s Capitol Hill office and its lobbying and political teams. Previously he served as Vice President of Political Affairs for IIABA and Treasurer of InsurPac, the multi-million-dollar political action committee (PAC) for independent agents. During his time directing InsurPac, election cycle receipts increased from $600,000 to $2.6 million. Riedel currently sits on a variety of candidate and party steering committees, at the congressional level, as well as presidential.

Prior to joining IIABA, Riedel worked as a member of the National Republican Congressional Committee’s (NRCC) finance team and in the office of then Congressman John Ensign of Nevada.

Riedel was born in Lake Tahoe, California. He is a graduate of Pepperdine University and currently resides in Alexandria, VA, with his wife Daffnei and three sons Jackson, Joshua and John.
